"Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

I am finally going to see "Alice in Wonderland" this weekend! To celebrate, here are some gorgeous photos taken by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue, along with some of my favorite quotes from the book.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop."

"Curiouser and curiouser."

" I can't explain myself , I'm afraid, because I am not myself, you see."

" How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail, and pour the waters of the Nile on every golden scale."

"If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think."
"We're all mad here."
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things: of shoes and ships- and sealing wax- of cabbages and kings."
"Twinkle, twinkle little bat. How I wonder what you're at! Up above the world you fly, like a tea tray in the sky!"
"Sentence first, verdict afterwards!"
"We called him Tortoise because he taught us."
"She generally gave herself very good advice, though she very seldom followed it."
