O Canada!

Who knew Canada was so breathtaking! After seeing these photos, Canada has just shot up into the top five on my travel must see list! Has anyone been there? Did you love it?

Ice Ice Baby...

On a recent trip to Ikea, I was stopped cold by a giant collage of pictures from the IceHotel in Sweden. You sleep on ice, covered in reindeer skins and a thermal sleeping bag, in a chilling -5 degrees. The hotel melts every summer, turning into a river, and then they rebuild it every winter! This is the absolute coolest thing I have ever seen and I am dying to stay there one day!

I wouldn't mind getting married there either!

"Oh the places you'll go"

I decided this year that I was going to read as many books as possible. I'm hoping to get through 75.....:) we'll see if that happens. So far, I've read I've read five, five down and 70 to go. I am currently reading Anna Karenina for the first time, it's my first Tolstoy and I have to say that I am in love with this book!

Have a seat...

 Jonathan, and I have decided to "finish" a room. Our house is not even close to being decorated yet so we have decided to start small and begin with the study.  Over the weekend we picked up some great bookcases and lights from Ikea .....

We are currently in search of a nice chaise lounge or big arm chair. I have always wanted one just like this ....

But Jonathan said no.:( I also really love this one, but it is a bit out of our price range.

If anyone knows of any good furniture sites or has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you!

Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

This movie was delightful. I long to be a whimsical, french, gamine running through Paris changing lives and causing a little bit of mischief. I am currently learning french, so it was exciting when I understood certain things without reading the subtitles. If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it. J'adore Amelie!

Little red dress

When I fall in love with an item online, I sometimes click on my size, and then click add to bag... even when I know I am not going to buy it. As strange as it is, pretending like I am going to buy it makes me feel just a little bit better. This dress is definitely in my imaginary bag.
